ENU celebrated Gratitude Day
The Eurasian National University celebrated the Gratitude Day under the thematic motto “Rakhmet Sagan, Tugan Yel!”
The event, organized by the ENU Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, was attended by deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the leadership of the Republican Center for the Coordination of Transplantation and High-Tech Medical Services of the Republic of Kazakhstan, master’s, doctoral and bachelor’s students, representatives of the Council of Mothers, youth organizations of the APK departments and APK centers of the regions, the ethno-cultural community of Astana, etc.
ENU Rector Yerlan Sydykov proposed to introduce the laying of flowers in honor of doctors into the tradition of today’s holiday.
“I suggest that we should not wait for one day to express gratitude, but use every moment and opportunity for this. Then there will be prosperity, unity and confidence in the future. I believe that today’s event will become a model for young people and the nation as a whole,” the scientist said.
Nuriya Niyazova, a member of the Senate of the Parliament from the APK, also expressed her special gratitude to Kazakhstani doctors.
“I call them second only to God because their courage, professionalism and dedication are very symbolic and meaningful. I am impressed by today’s idea to make this day traditional, paying tribute to doctors who save the lives of our Kazakhstanis,” the deputy said.
Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament, member of the Committee on Social and Cultural Development and Science Lyazzat Kaltayeva said:
“Today is the day of gratitude, when we talk about different ethnic groups, equal opportunities, at the same time, we say that Kazakhstan’s society is very diverse, like a carpet woven from different scraps. This applies not only to ethnic groups, but also to each individual.”
The meeting ended with the performance of the flash mob “Rakhmet Sagan, Tugan Yel!” and the presentation of symbolic gifts to the participants.
