Field Training of 1st-Year Students Successfully Completed

From May 19 to 25, 2025, first-year students of the 6B01524 – “Training of Geography Teachers” and 6B01515 – “Training of Geography Teachers (IP)” educational programs of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University underwent field training at the “Zolotoy Fazan” recreation base in Koyandy village, Akmola region.

A total of 110 students participated in the training. The practice was supervised by instructors of the department.

The main purpose of the practice was to develop students’ skills in working in a natural environment. During the training, students conducted meteorological observations, described the terrain, studied soil pits and vegetation cover, and carried out visual topographic surveying using GPS and leveling instruments.

The training focused on mastering methods for studying geographical objects, performing climate observations, promoting ecological awareness, and acquiring skills in analyzing landforms and water resources.

At the end of the practice, students will prepare reports and cartographic materials to present to the departmental committee.
