Virtual seminar on the International Perspectives on New Psychoactive Substances (NPS)
We invite you to participate in the seminar, which is very important in the work of drug abuse prevention.
On June 18, 2021 as part of the SOLID project aimed at developing Social Work in Central Asia and China in helping people who use drugs and suffer from related health problems, will be held a Virtual Seminar on International Perspectives on New Psychoactive Substances (NPS).
World-renowned experts will discuss the distribution of these synthetic substances, the use patterns and possible risks of their use, essential topics of human trafficking, monitoring, and research issues on the NPS subject.
The project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service Exceed program) and implemented at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, as well as at five universities in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan) and China (Shanghai).
SOLID project comprises epidemiological as well as comparative methodological approaches and follows United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals of:
- health and wellbeing,
- quality education,
- gender equality,
- reduced inequalities,
- peace, justice and strong institutions as the overall framework.
The SOLID project from the Eurasian National University named after L. N. Gumilyov involves:
