Testing to identify the level of English for the academic mobility program with the issuance of a certificate

The Institute of Continuing Education, together with the Department of International Cooperation, accepts applications for online testing to obtain an ENU certificate confirming the level of English proficiency.

This certificate is valid within the framework of the academic mobility program with independent funding, for the grant program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, for the partial funding program "ENU Students Ambassador", as well as other international programs (the program will be implemented when sending abroad in offline format).

Applications for testing are accepted at the link: https://forms.gle/uMEVwXccE88z4HH86 until 12.00 on September 22, 2023.

The testing will be conducted in an online format in two stages:

The first stage - a lexico–grammatical test (50 questions, choose 1 option from 2) and listening (20 questions, choose 1 option from 2) will be held on September 25, 2023 from 09.00 to 21.00 hours Astana time on training platform moodle.enu.kz , where it is necessary to score 60% or more in grammar and 60% or more in listening.

The total testing time is 1.5 hours.

The second stage is an interview (speaking), students who have received an assessment not lower than the threshold value according to the results of the first stage are allowed. The interview will be conducted by the commission on the Microsoft Teams platform on September 27-28, 2023* (the time of the interview will be announced later).

*If the test dates change, students will be notified by e-mail specified in the application.

Persons who have made a payment for passing the test and sent the following documents to the email address are allowed to take the test ipk.enu.2022@gmail.com until 12.00 on September 22 , 2023:

1. a copy of the payment receipt;
2. contract for the provision of online testing services;
3. a copy of the identity card or passport.

Based on the results of testing, a certificate is issued (valid for 2 years).

The cost of testing is 15,000 tenge.

Payment can be made through the KASPI application.

Testing is carried out for students who do not have an English language level certificate, since the requirement for submitting documents with independent financing, the ENU Students Ambassador program and other international programs is to confirm the level of English at least B2.

Students who have scored less than B2 cannot participate in academic mobility programs.
