Testing to identify the level of ENGLISH for the academic mobility program with the issuance of a certificate

The Institute of Continuing Education, together with the Department of International Cooperation, accepts applications for online testing and offline Interviews to obtain an ENU certificate confirming the level of English proficiency.

This certificate is valid within the framework of the self-funded academic mobility program, for the grant program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, for the partial financing program "ENU Students Ambassador", as well as other international programs (the program will be implemented when sending abroad in offline format).

Applications for testing are accepted at the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ldFldDBtbKDmKnO_LTeeL4Nj-BPaH5tQ2vkhOoAO_7M/edit (the application must be filled out ONLY ONCE, at the first time all your data specified in the application is saved) until 10.00 a.m. on September 22, 2025.

The testing will be conducted in an online format in two stages, the third stage is an offline interview :

Stage 1: Listening - 30 tasks

The passing score in listening is 24 points (80%)

Stage 2: Lexical and grammatical test - 40 tasks

The passing score on the lexico-grammatical test is 32 points (80%)

Stages 1 and 2 will be held on September 23, 2025 from 09.00 to 22.00 Astana time on the training platform https://moodle.enu.kz/ (you need to log in to this platform using your Platonus account in advance!).

The total testing time is 1 hour.

Stage 3: Offline Interview - 2 questions on the same topic

The passing result of the interview is 80%

Listeners who have received an assessment of at least a threshold value based on the results of the first and second stages are allowed to be interviewed (speaking).

The interview will be conducted by the commission at the address Astana, Satpayev str. 2, Main building (the office will be announced later for successful candidates based on the results of stages 1 and 2) on 25-26 September 2025 (time 09.00 – 19.00 hours).

*If the test and interview dates change, listeners will be notified by e-mail or/and the Platonus system specified in the application.

Candidates who have made a payment for passing the test, an offline Interview and sent the following documents to the email address inoinstitut@gmail.com until 10.00 a.m. on September 22, 2025 are allowed to take the test:

2. contract for the provision of online testing services (send a scanned version of the completed and HANDWRITTEN contract to the above-mentioned email address, and BRING the ORIGINAL contract to office 239, Main Building No. 1, Satpayev str., 2) (а sample contract is attached to this announcement below);
3. a copy of the identity card or passport.

!ATTENTION!

A prerequisite for admission to the test is to submit an application and submit a signed contract. Participation is not allowed without a contract.

Based on the results of the interview, the commission determines the level of language proficiency of each candidate and decides whether to award a certificate with the appropriate level (B2, C1, C2). There is no appeal. The results of testing and interviews are not subject to appeal or protest!

Based on the test results, candidates who score a passing grade will be issued a certificate (valid for 2 years).

The cost of testing is 20,000 tenge.

Payment is made through the KASPI and BCC application (the algorithm is attached to this announcement below).

The test is conducted for listeners who do not have an English language level certificate, since the requirement for submitting documents with self-financing, the ENU Students Ambassador program and other international programs is to confirm the level of English at least B2.

Listeners who have scored less than B2 cannot participate in academic mobility programs.
