
Research practice defense of PhD students of the APK Department was held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University

On March 27, 2026, at 18:00, the defense of research practice reports of second-year PhD students of the educational program 8D03107 – “Diplomacy and Management in Ethnopolitics” was held at the Department of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (APK) at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The examination committee included: Head of the Department, Doctor of Political Sciences - N.P. Kalashnikova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Acting Associate Professor (Practice-oriented) - Gulnaz Tokenkyzy, Doctor of Political Sciences, Acting Associate Professor - A.S. Kaidarova.
The defense was attended by PhD students who completed their research internships at leading research and analytical institutions of Kazakhstan:
- Zhexembekova U.B. - Kazakhstan Institute of Public Development;
- Karatay N. - Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Research;
- Kamytbekova A.B. - Kazakhstan Institute of Public Development;
- Konyrshin K. - Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Research;
- Kayupova F.M. - Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov;
- Tokenov A. - Institute of Public Policy of the AMANAT Party;
- Mirmanova A. - Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Research;
- Khangeldy N. - Kazakhstan Institute of Public Development.
During the defense, the PhD students presented the results of their research practice, outlining the key areas of activity of the host organizations, as well as the professional and research competencies they had developed. Particular attention was paid to analytical skills, work with empirical data, and participation in applied research in the fields of ethnopolitics and public development.
The PhD students demonstrated their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, presented the outcomes of their research, and highlighted the prospects for further use of these results within their doctoral dissertations.
The meeting also included feedback from academic supervisors, who emphasized the high level of engagement of the PhD students in the research process, their strong analytical preparation, and their ability to conduct independent scientific work.
Following the defense, the committee positively evaluated the results of the research practice, noting the high level of training of the PhD students and their readiness for further research activities.
