From April 6 to 11, the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages will hold a video contest for 1st–3rd year students

From April 6 to 11, within the framework of the Science Decade, the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages of the Higher School of Education at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University will hold an online video contest for 1st–3rd year students on the topic “My University – My Profession – My Development.”

The purpose of the contest:

Developing students’ creative thinking, digital skills, and professional identity via the creation of video content.

 Participation terms:

* for 1-3 year students only;

* Format: individual or in group (up to 3 persons);

* Video duration: 1-3 minutes;

* Language: English / Kazakh / Russian;

* File format: MP4;

* The video must be copyrighted.

 What must be included video:

* University representation;

* Connection with the future profession;

* Personal development and achievements;

* Creative presentation (storytelling, visual effects, editing).

 Assessment criteria (100 points):

 Content and disclosure of the topic – 20 points.

 Creativity and originality – 20 points.

 Language literacy – 15 points.

 Structure and logic (storytelling) – 15 points.

 Technical quality of the video – 15 points.

 Engagement and emotional impact – 15 points

 Nominations:

* Best video clip.

* Most creative approach.

* Best language design.

* Audience Award.

 Results:

The winners will be announced at the end of the Decade of Science
