Abstract (English): ABSTRACT of the dissertation of Eldana Bakhytovna Asanbayeva, submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the educational program 8D01717 – "Kazakh language and literature" on the topic: "Linguo-didactic bases of the use of film discourse in teaching of Kazakh" The purpose of the dissertation research: a comprehensive definition of the theoretical, methodological and linguodidactic foundations of using film discourses in teaching the Kazakh language, scientific systematization of its multimodal, pragmatic and linguocultural potential, justification of audiovisual perception as an independent language and cognitive skill, development of a modular training program and a system of exercises based on film discourses for audiences T1 and T2, as well as confirmation of their effectiveness through pedagogical experiment and approbation. Research objectives: - define the concept of film discourse in the scientific aspect at the intersection of the theory of discourse, media linguistics and linguodidactics and distinguish it from the concepts of film text, film dialog and screenplay; - to identify the psychological, cognitive and linguodidactic foundations of using film discourse in the educational process, as well as the features of multi-channel perception; - theoretically substantiate audiovisual perception as an independent language and cognitive skill that develops along with listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, and present its structural characteristics; - systematize the didactic principles of using film discourses in teaching the Kazakh language, criteria for selecting video materials and methodological bases for their organization; - describe the methods, techniques and types of work aimed at developing students ' communicative, discursive, linguocultural and pragmatic competencies through film discourse; - determine the features of training based on a film course for audiences T1 (native language) and T2 (second language), as well as show the mechanisms of their level adaptation (B2-C1, etc.); - develop a modular curriculum for teaching the Kazakh language based on a film course; - to test the effectiveness of the proposed methodological model, modular program and exercise system by means of a pedagogical experiment. Research methods: The study uses content analysis to identify the linguistic and pragmatic features of film discourse, observation and questionnaires to analyze students' learning activities and motivation, pedagogical experiment to test the effectiveness of the methodology, comparative analysis of the results of control and experimental groups, as well as audio-visual semiotic analysis. Main provisions (proven scientific hypotheses and other conclusions that are new knowledge): In the course of the study, for a comprehensive description of the linguistic and pragmatic content of the film discourse, the content analysis method is used, which is used to determine the features of the use of lexical units, phraseological units and speech patterns in films. Changes in language activity, speech skills, and learning motivation of students in the educational process are studied through systematic monitoring and supplemented with the results of a questionnaire. These approaches provide qualitative characteristics related to the acceptance and effectiveness of film discourse-based learning. In order to determine the effectiveness of the methodology, a pedagogical experiment is conducted on the basis of a specially developed modular program. During the experiment, the dynamics of students ' development of listening, pronunciation, writing and audiovisual perception skills are revealed, and the results of control and experimental groups are processed by comparative analysis. In addition, for a deeper explanation of the structure of film texts, audio-visual semiotic analysis is used, on the basis of which the interaction of video, audio and verbal components is comprehensively considered from the point of view of language discourse. Characteristics of the main results of the study: In the course of the study, the linguodidactic potential of film discourse was comprehensively characterized, a methodological model was proposed that allows it to be systematically applied in the process of teaching the Kazakh language. It is established that this model ensures the assimilation of language material in the natural communicative environment, national and cultural context and on the basis of audiovisual perception. In the study, audiovisual perception was considered as an independent language-cognitive skill based on simultaneous processing of verbal and nonverbal information, rather than on a mechanical combination of auditory and visual actions. The results of the experiment showed that organized learning based on film discourse had a complex impact on the language development of students. In particular, there was an expansion of the vocabulary of students in qualitative and functional terms, the active use of mastered lexical units in speech activity. It also revealed an increase in the level of speech activity and communicative confidence, an improvement in the quality indicators of listening skills and pronunciation. It was noted that the national and cultural content presented through film materials contributed to students ' perception of language information in a cultural context and expanded their worldview. Justification of the novelty and significance of the results obtained: The results of the study showed the possibility that film discourse is considered in the methodology of teaching the Kazakh language as an independent and systematic linguodidactic category. Its aspects are comprehensively defined, such as the presentation of language material in a natural communicative environment, assimilation in the context of national and cultural content, and adaptation to the peculiarities of the student's cognitive perception. In this process, audiovisual perception was refined as an independent Language-cognitive skill based on simultaneous processing of verbal and nonverbal information, and not at the level of the sum of auditory and visual actions. This conclusion was supplemented by actual data showing that the meaning of a language unit within the film discourse is fully revealed not only through the word, but also through intonation, facial expressions, movement, and situational context. Also, in the course of the research, the author developed a methodological model of teaching the Kazakh language based on a film course, systematized its structural and content components. Experimentally, it was seen that this model allows differentiating based on the language level and perception characteristics of T1 and T2 audiences and adapting to different learning conditions. Within the framework of the proposed methodology, a system of exercises and a modular program were created, which are aimed at the comprehensive development of language skills, as well as contribute to increasing the communicative activity of students. Compliance with areas of scientific development or state programs: The results of the study clearly showed the relevance of strategic documents and priority areas aimed at modernizing the education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, the proposed methodology was meaningfully combined with the process of digitalization of education and offered scientifically based ways of systematic use of audiovisual content in education. During the practice, it was seen that the introduction of film discourses into the educational process makes it possible to form a learning model adapted to the requirements of the modern digital environment, by switching the perception of information by students from the traditional text format to multi-channel, integrative perception.
