AFM AI Hackathon 2026: Technology Against Financial Crime

Dear Students,

The Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan invites IT specialists, analysts, developers, and artificial intelligence experts to participate in AFM AI Hackathon 2026-a large-scale competition of innovative solutions in AI, cybersecurity, and data analytics.

The event is organized as part of the implementation of the “Law and Order” principle and is aimed at developing advanced digital tools to combat economic and financial crimes.

Date: June 24–25, 2026

Venue:Farabi Hub (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty)

Total Prize Fund:6,000,000 KZT

Participants will demonstrate their skills in three challenge tracks:

Digital Shadow - Monitoring the dark web and collecting data from open sources (OSINT);

AI Shield - Developing artificial intelligence algorithms to protect databases and enhance cybersecurity;

AI Media Watch - Detecting signs of illegal gambling operations and financial pyramid schemes on social media platforms.
