INFORMATION LETTER

Dear colleagues!

L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University invites you to take part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Language. Culture. Translation: Intercultural Communication in the Digital Age.”

The main objectives of the Conference are:

• Promoting the development of research in the field of translation, language and culture, and intercultural communication;
• Sharing best practices and experiences in the field of translation, as well as providing a platform for innovative technologies in the digital age;
• Fostering international scientific and academic cooperation by linking researchers, teachers and practitioners from different countries.
• Encouraging students and practicing interpreters to actively participate in research activities in the field of translation, language and culture;
• Development of recommendations and practical solutions to prevent problems associated with intercultural communication in contemporary digital age.

Key conference topics include:

1. Innovative technologies in interpreter training
2. Multimedia translation
3. Localization and translation
4. Problems in translation and intercultural communication

The application, article and confirmation of payment should be emailed at akshulakovab@gmail.com before 15 April 2024 (inclusive).

The cost of participation and publication of the article in the Conference proceedings is 3700 KZT per paper. Participation and publication for foreign authors is free of charge.

To complete the payment, follow the instructions at: https://enu.kz/en/page/university/about-us/bank-details-and-contacts. Confirmation of the payment shall be send together with the application form.

Conference proceedings will be published as an e-book with an ISBN. The authors are responsible for the content of the materials submitted to the Conference Committee.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select materials for publication.

Article Formatting Requirements

1. The registration form and text of the article (up to 5 pages, excluding abstract and references) must be typed in MS Word, the file must be named by the author’s surname.
2. The page format is A4, the font is Times New Roman 14, the margins 2 cm on all sides, single-space, 1.25 сm indentation, and justified alignment.
3. The text of the article should be verified and free from errors. It is published in the author’s edition. One author can publish no more than two papers (including co-authorship).
4. In the upper left corner of the page, indicate the IRSTI in bold (http://grnti.ru/). In the right corner of the article, the initials and surname of the author(s) in bold in lowercase, below in italics is the place of work (study), city, country; below is the e-mail of the corresponding author only. (If there is more than one author, the corresponding author shall be indicated with *). After two intervals, the title of the article is printed in capital letters, in bold, centered, without a dot in the end.
5. The text of the article is placed after one interval. Articles are accepted in Kazakh, Russian, English and Turkish.
6. The list of references and data is located at the end of the report and is compiled in the order of mention in the text. The list of references and references are made according to GOST 7.1-2003 “Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description. General requirements and rules of compilation.”
7. The provision of a full electronic report on the verification of the paper for plagiarism is carried out on https://antiplagiat.ru. The originality percentage shall be not less than 70%.
