Abstract (English): Dissertation work of Akhayeva Zhanar «Information system for working with big data of Smart cities» submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the educational program «8D06102 - IT management». The need and relevance of an information system for working with big data in smart cities is due to the growing volume of data generated by urban operations, IoT devices and citizens. This data can be used to improve various aspects of urban life, such as transportation, energy management, and utilities, but it requires efficient storage, processing, and analysis. Such a system will effectively store, process and analyze large amounts of data, providing the necessary information for making informed decisions in planning and managing the city. Taking into account that the listed problems have not yet been definitively solved, we can assume that the topic of this dissertation research is relevant and practically significant. The purpose of the dissertation research is to develop an information system for predicting water consumption in a smart city. The object of the study is the forecasting of water consumption in the city of Astana. The subject of the study is the model of an information system for accounting water consumption, analysis and forecasting Research methods. The tasks were solved using the following scientific methods: scientometric analysis and classification of ICT in the Smart City subject area, information analytical and statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, Machine learning. Research objectives. In order to achieve the research goal, the following interrelated tasks have been set and solved: 1. Analysis of the needs and problems of the city related to the concept of a Smart city. 2. Research on the possibility of developing and implementing new information systems to improve the efficiency of urban management, improve the quality of life of residents and optimize the use of resources. 3. Research on the impact of the introduction of new technologies, such as the Internet of Things, machine learning, on the development of smart cities. The scientific novelty of the research is as follows: – an expanded taxonomy of information and communication technologies in the field of Smart City research has been built, which allows to identify key areas of research; – a prototype of an information management system has been developed and new algorithms for assessing the state have been proposed, which will be used in conditions of partial and incomplete observability and will ensure effective assessments of the state of the system in real time. – conducted machine learning based on Big data, analysis and forecasting. Personal contribution of the applicant. The main scientific results of theoretical and applied research, the conclusions set out in the dissertation, were obtained by the author independently. In the works published in co-authorship, the applicant owns a significant part related to the formulation of tasks, the development of models and algorithms, as well as their software and hardware implementation and experimental research. Implementation of the results. The development of an information system in the form of a software application and experimental testing of the results was carried out on the basis of data from the Astana Su Arnasy State Enterprise. The models, methods and algorithms proposed in the dissertation will be implemented in the company GKP Astana Su Arnasy, which is confirmed by the corresponding letter. The author's certificate for the software No. 45419 dated May 03, 2024 was received. Approbation of the work and publication. The main provisions and scientific results of the work were reported and discussed at international scientific conferences: 8 author's printed works have been published on the topic of the dissertation, including 4 articles in publications recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan: 1.
