
On September 10, the Governor of the province of West Java, Indonesia, will give a lecture at ENU

We invite faculty staff and students to a meeting with the former Governor of West Java, Indonesia, Mochamad Ridwan Kamil, on September 10, 2024, during which he will deliver a lecture on “Digital Government Innovation”.
Dr. Mochamad Ridwan Kamil received his education in architecture at the Bandung Institute of Technology, and then continued his Master’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley. He began his professional experience in the USA, where he worked for various prominent architectural companies, including Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). He has been involved in more than 50 urban design projects in America, the Middle East and Asia. He has been involved in the design of more than fifty architecture and urban design projects in America, the Middle East and Asia. After ten years of international experience, he decided to start his own company in Indonesia called Urbane. Thanks to Urbane, he has won more than 20 national and international competitions and awards.
Ridwan Kamil entered politics in 2013 as a “Mad Citizen” who strives for a better life in Bandung City. As mayor, he focused on creating an open space for the public, revitalizing slum areas, transforming modern public transportation, improving the smart city approach to urban development, and introducing dynamic management. During the four years of its governorship, the province of West Java has already received awards from both national and international organizations.
