Visiting Professor Muhammad Faisal Rehman held a seminar at the Department of Architecture
Professor and qualified architect, Muhammad Faisal Rehman, met with students and teachers at the Department of Architecture to conduct a scientific seminar on the topic "Understanding contextually responsive urban space".
At the seminar, Professor Faisal Rehman presented a critical analysis of the current challenges associated with urbanization, including the problems of efficient land use, population growth and traffic management. The main focus of his report was the city of Abbottabad, where the growth of traffic flow along the Karakoram highway has become a serious problem.
The professor highlighted the inability of the current infrastructure to cope with the increasing flow of transport and outlined serious challenges for urban life. He proposed various solutions to this problem, including the public transport system, LRT, rail transport, trams and cable cars, emphasizing the importance of integrating these solutions into the architectural appearance of the city.
Professor Muhammad Faisal Rehman highlighted the importance of the relevance of the proposed solutions in the modern context, paying special attention to issues of sustainability and socio-economic needs. He stressed that in order to improve the architectural appearance of cities, a comprehensive, integrated approach is needed, offering specific mechanisms and solutions.
