The Board of Directors approved the new organizational structure and staffing levels of ENU

By the decision of the Board of Directors of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev dated December 14, 2023, changes were made to the organizational structure.

As part of this decision, in order to comply with the requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and also taking into account the high pace of development of digitalization of higher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the integration of all electronic systems of Universities into the Unified System of Higher and Postgraduate Education, the position of a digital officer represented by Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Digitalization and Infrastructure.

One of the main tasks of the Digital Officer of the Society is the transition to the model of “smart universities” with a digital ecosystem. The “smart university” model involves not only the complete digitalization of core business processes, but also the use of artificial intelligence and complete data management. The construction of this model places high demands on the qualifications of IT specialists, as well as unified and rapid coordination of management decisions on issues of digitalization of the University in all areas of its activities.
