Visit of the management of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of L.N. Gumilyov ENU to Nanning Normal University (PRC)

Within the framework of the bilateral agreement on cooperation between L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Nanning Normal University (PRC) from 6 to 12 January 2024, the delegation from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University visited Nanning Normal University. The delegation consisted of Berdenov Zharas - Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Ilderbaev Oralbek - Head of the Department of General Biology and Genomics, Kopishev Eldar - Head of the Department of Chemistry. The delegation was welcomed by the first secretary of the university - Mr. Long Guangging, Director of the Department of International Relations. Long Guangging, Director of the Department of International Relations, Deans of the Higher Schools of Chemistry and Biology.

 

Within the framework of cooperation between L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Nanning Normal University the laboratories and educational buildings of Nanning Normal University were visited. During the meeting agreements were reached on joint academic activities, as well as on joint scientific research in clusters of global level.

 

The university conducts research in the humanities and natural sciences, including biology, genomics and chemistry. International cooperation implies not only education of students with state diplomas of both universities, but also realization of joint scientific projects, academic mobility of teachers, realization of professional development courses, i.e. creation of a unified educational and scientific system of partnership relations.

 

Nanning Normal University is a pedagogical university in China, founded in 1958 as Norman Institute of Education. It is one of the largest and oldest universities in China specializing in education and science.

 

Nanning Normal University has four campuses, Mingxiu, Changgang, Wuhe and Wuming. The university has 22 faculties and 6 learning support faculties, with 70 general undergraduate majors. The university also has many scientific laboratories and research centers.

 

Nanning Normal University actively promotes international cooperation. The university has diplomatic relations with more than 100 countries and regions in the world, as well as with many famous universities and organizations. The university also welcomes students from different countries for study and research projects.

 

Nanning Normal University conducts research in various scientific fields. The university has more than 1,000 researchers including PhDs, professors, postdoctoral fellows and student teachers. The university also organizes numerous scientific conferences, seminars, competitions and exhibitions in different fields of knowledge.

 

The cooperation between L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Nanning Normal University started in 2019 and is aimed at developing exchange of students, teachers and collaboration in scientific research.

 

In ENU educational programs in the directions of "Applied Chemistry", "Inorganic Chemistry", "Biology" are implemented as global educational programs. That is, students from Kazakhstan and China can study on these programs in the framework of double degree education.

 

The global goal of cooperation is to create joint educational programs and double degree programs.
