On January 18, 2024, within the framework of the project Jean Monnet Center for Excellence “EUROSOFT”, a webinar was held on the topic: “Cultural diplomacy and success factors of soft power.”
The webinar was organized jointly with the ALEM Association (Paris, France) and the Bolashak “500 Scientists” fellows (Technical University of Dresden).
During the webinar, current issues of cultural diplomacy and soft power of both the countries of the European Union and the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed. Presentations were made by the President of the ALEM Association Imasheva Z. “Kazakh-French cultural relations”, Vice-President of the ALEM Association Iskakova M. “Cultural diplomacy of Kazakhstan in France”, members of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence project “EUROSOFT” and fellows of the Bolashak program “500 scientists” (Dresden Technical University) Zhanbulatova R.S. “French “soft power” in the countries of Central Asia (opportunities for Kazakhstan)”, Kenzhalina G.Zh. “Soft power of the European Union in Central Asia: conceptual foundations”, Kussainova A.M. “German cultural diplomacy in Central Asia as an instrument of soft power.”
The discussion was attended by teaching staff and students of the Faculty of International Relations of ENU. L.N. Gumilyov.
