Member of ENU Board of Directors was awarded Academician Schmidt Aitaliyev medal

CEO of the Rixos Hotel, PhD Tansel Tercan was awarded the international honorary geotechnical medal named after Academician Sh. Aitalyev. The award was awarded by the Kazakhstan Geotechnical Society. Also, on behalf of ENU, Rector Yerlan Sydykov presented Tansel Tercan with a Letter of Thanks for his special contribution to the development of the university.

As noted by the President of the Kazakhstan Geotechnical Society, Professor Askar Zhussupbekov, CEO of the Rixos Hotel, PhD Tansel Tercan co-organized the 17th Asian Regional Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnics, held in August 2023 in Astana.

“PhD Tansel Terсan constantly supports scientific and technical events at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU, one of which was the 17th Asian Regional Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnics. Today we awarded Tansel Tercan the international honorary geotechnical medal named after the outstanding Kazakhstani specialist in the field of earthquake-resistant construction, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Schmidt Musayevich Aitalyev for an active promotion of the achievements of domestic geotechnics abroad and in Kazakhstan, and for constant support of the activities of the Kazakhstan Geotechnical Society," A.Zhussupbekov said. 

It should be noted that in 2021, Tansel Tercan successfully completed his doctoral studies at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU under the education program "Tourism" and received a PhD degree. He is also a member of ENU Board of Directors.
