Students from 15 countries joined ENU under "Welcome to ENU" program

181 students from 31 educational institutions from 15 foreign countries arrived at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University for the spring semester: Belgium, France, Hungary, Poland, China, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, India, USA, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. This was evident during a meeting with foreign students who joined ENU under "Welcome to ENU" academic mobility program.
It should be noted that “Welcome to ENU” incoming mobility program was launched in 2020 for foreign citizens from foreign universities to study for 1-2 semesters at ENU in order to promote the recognition of the university.
Applicants for "Welcome to ENU" program can be bachelor’s, master’s, postgraduate and doctoral students as well as interns from partner universities ENU has cooperation agreements with. Even if there is no agreement available, foreign students can participate as a free mover. Education is provided free of charge at 13 faculties in Kazakh, Russian and English.
During the 4 years of the Welcome to ENU program, about 800 foreign students from countries such as China, South Korea, Turkey, Germany, France, Belgium, India, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Japan, etc. have been trained at ENU online and offline.
A master’s student Tess Linnell-Boutaud, who arrived on academic mobility from Belgium, told why she chose ENU and what her impressions are about her staying in our country and studies at the Eurasian National University.
"I came to ENU to study in order to improve my level of Russian that I am currently studying. While studying in France and Belgium, I was interested in Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, and I have long wanted to visit your country. ENU entered into a partnership with the university where I studied, and as soon as I became aware of this, I decided to do an internship here. In addition, I was trusted with a great responsibility and opportunity to teach here. I am currently conducting interpretation classes at ENU and teaching French for beginners", Tess Linnell-Boutaud shared.
