In December-January 2024, the Department of Archaeology and Ethnology of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University held the II round of the Republican Subject Olympiad of Schoolchildren on World History, covering the ancient and medieval periods. This event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the famous Kazakh archaeologist, world-renowned scientist Kemal Akishev.
