The International scientific and practical conference “Development of digitalization and formation of the institutional environment of e-commerce: trends, problems and solutions” was held at the Economic faculty of ENU

On February 20, 2024, on the base of the Faculty of Economics of L.N.Gumilyov ENU, the International scientific and practical conference on the topic “Development of digitalization and the formation of the institutional environment of e-commerce: trends, problems and solutions” was held, organized by a branch of the Institute of Economics of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the department “Economics and Entrepreneurship" of L.N.Gumilyov ENU.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Qaztrade LLP, foreign scientists from Poltava State Agrarian University (Ukraine), Novosibirsk State University (Russia), scientists and researchers from regional higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, the cities of Astana and Almaty . The conference was moderated by Professor of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Azatbek T.A. Participation in the conference was carried out online and offline.

At the conference, current issues of digitizing the economy, developing e-commerce, and its institutional environment in Kazakhstan were discussed, along with the experiences of foreign countries. A renowned entrepreneur and founder of major Kazakhstani e-commerce projects, as well as the chairman of the Internet Business Association of Kazakhstan, Konstantin Gorozhankin, delivered a report during the plenary session of the conference.

The conference served as a platform for the exchange of experiences, ideas, and proposals among practitioners and researchers from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Russia. A conference resolution was published based on the outcomes of the event.

As part of the conference proceedings, presentations from young researchers, master's, and doctoral students were heard, and the best among them were awarded diplomas.

The 1st place was awarded to Rahmetulina A.A., under the supervision of Dr. Dubina I.N., a Doctor of Economic Sciences.
