On February 28, at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, a meeting was held between students of the department of “Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications” with specialists from the Research Center for Religion of the Akimat of Astana on the topic «Din zhane kogam». The guests of the meeting, Kaidar Miras Kabidenuly and Aidarkul Marlen, shared religious knowledge and cultural traditions. Also present at the event were university theologian Daribay Muratbek Ontalapuly, deputy dean for work with students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Zh.B. Malikova and curators of academic groups Yusupbekova B.N., Akdavletova Zh.A and Asilbekova A.M. The meeting was held in a rich format, where students were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the main legal documents on the ban on smoking and religious rites and ceremonies on the territory of the university, on the influence of destructive religious movements. Issues related to fasting, the month of Ramadan and other aspects of religious life were also discussed. Students received detailed answers to their questions, which contributed to a deep understanding of the subject of discussion and the importance of respect for different cultural and religious traditions.
One of the most exciting and educational moments of the meeting was the showing of video materials telling about the fate of young people who became victims of destructive groups. These videos not only attracted the attention of the audience, but also evoked a deep emotional response, leaving an imprint in the souls of everyone present and a deep awareness of the seriousness of the problem. Through these stories, a powerful warning was sounded about how easily young people can become caught up in organizations that distort spiritual quests and exploit human vulnerability for their own selfish ends. The videos emphasized the need to be mindful of one's life choices, as well as the importance of critical thinking and the ability to see through the tempting but dangerous illusions that can be manipulated by destructive groups.
The meeting left an indelible impression on all those present, filling the hearts of students and teachers with new ideas, inspiration and a deep understanding of the importance of the harmonious coexistence of science and spirituality in the modern world.
