On February 27, 2024, 1st year students of the Department of Oriental Studies of the Faculty of International Relations held a “Thanksgiving” evening. Congratulating the first day of spring with Thanksgiving, the festive evening entitled “A Thousand Thanks to Everyone” began with a congratulatory speech by the dean of the faculty Kosybaev Miras Makhmedunuly. Next, Seilkanov Nurasyl beautifully performed the kui “Kosbasar” by the famous Kazakh composer and musician Karshigi Akhmediyarov. 1st year students read poems in Kazakh, Russian, English, Arabic and Chinese under the motto “Learn all languages, respect your language.” Among them was an original work in English by Mukanov Bulat. Next, a special video prepared by students for Thanksgiving was shown. Mukanov Bulat, Esbol Madi, Akhmetov Dinmuhammed, Mukanov Ashim, Kasymbaev Adilzhan expressed gratitude to the dean of the faculty, the head of the department, the teaching staff and curators on behalf of all students. The evening ended on a melodic note with a song performed by Mukanov Ashim.
