Altyn Tulek Olympiad: finding talents among school students

The republican Mathematical Olympiad «Altyn tulek» was held at the Eurasian National University among students of grades 10-11 in schools in Astana and Akmola region. About 100 students took part in the Olympiad.

The Altyn Tulek Olympiad is held in order to identify children with exceptional abilities in mathematics among schoolchildren, introduce high school students to science and arouse interest in pedagogical, engineering and technical areas, as well as instill in students the skills of analyzing mathematical concepts, critical thinking, and solving complex problems.

Also, one of the goals of the Olympiad is career guidance. School students were introduced to the educational programs and faculties of the university.

As it was noted, the Olympiad, organized jointly with the school of mental development "Zerdeli", is a significant contribution to the development of mathematical education in the country. The organization of the Olympiad contributes to the development of the scientific potential of students.

At the award ceremony, the director of the department of academic affairs, Baizhuman Kashkhynbay, made a congratulatory speech, wishing the students further success in their scientific activities. Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics Daniyar Kozybaev also congratulated the winners.

The winners of the Olympiad were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.
