Scientific seminar «Methods of quantitative and qualitative data processing. SPSS program»

On March 5, 2024, in the framework of implementation of the project grant funding MSHE RK AR13067794 «Research education in Kazakhstan: modification of the content of scientific training of doctoral students (based on foreign experience)» at the Faculty of Social Sciences of ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov held scientific seminar «Methods of quantitative and qualitative data processing. Program SPSS» with participation of the candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor of Psychology department Nuradinov Almat Sabitovich (in online, offline format).

The scientific seminar was attended by teaching staff of the faculty, doctoral students.

The attendees were introduced to working with quantitative and qualitative research data. They learned the basic methods of data analysis using SPSS software. In particular, descriptive statistics methods for data analysis and visualization; principles of correlation analysis and statistical hypothesis testing, including t-test, single factor and multifactor analysis of variance. Gained an understanding of the approaches and techniques used to interpret qualitative data.
