Methodological foundations of structuralism in literary studies discussed at ENU

Professor of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Zhanat Aimukhambet held a scientific seminar "Methodology of scientific research: a structuralist method in literary studies". This topic has attracted the attention of many scientists and students interested in in-depth analysis of literary texts.
Zhanat Aimukhambet highlighted the methodological foundations of structuralism, covering the theory of structural linguistics, the history of the formation of the school of structuralism and theoretical aspects such as signs, symbols, details and images in fiction. She went far beyond her scientific conclusions, presenting important judgments about the evolution and importance of structuralism in modern literary studies.
Special attention was paid to the contribution of outstanding scientists to the development of the school of structuralism in literature. The names of such famous figures as Claude Levi-Strauss, Roland Barthes, Roman Jacobson, Y. Lotman, V. Borev and others were carefully considered in the context of their contribution to the development of structuralism. The opinions of scientists, their approaches and ideas helped to vividly express the importance of this topic for modern literary criticism.
The seminar was attended by teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students of the L.Gumilev Eurasian National University and the A.Kusainov Eurasian Humanitarian Institute. The discussion and analysis of the topics covered will continue next week, which indicates a high interest in this topic in the academic environment.
