Bayanaul state national nature park: the way of ancestors

The Tourism Department of L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University together with the public association "National Congress of Historians" organised a 2-day tour to Bayanaul State National Natural Park on the 125th anniversary of Kanysh Satpayev and the 110th anniversary of Shaken Aimanov

The message of President Kasym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev noted that this year the country will celebrate the anniversaries of many poets and writers. Among them, the 125th anniversary of Kanysh Imantauly Satbaev, 110th anniversary of Shaken Aimanov, 135th anniversary of Zhusipbek Aimautov, 120th anniversary of Alkei Margulan are planned to be celebrated at the republican level in Bayanaul district.

In this regard, the working group of the department "Tourism" conducted a study of tourism potential: Bayanaul State National Nature Park as an object of historical and cultural tourism. As a result, a 2-day tourist route on Bayanaul land called "The Way of Ancestors" was developed and proposed.

The tour itinerary, which includes:

Day 1: Visit to a holy place, inspection of the mausoleum, museum and house of Mashkur Zhusup, as well as the holy spring.

Day 2: visit to the museum of Kanysh Satpayev, the monument to Shaken Aimanov and the secondary school named after Shaken Aiman, where his museum is located. Afterwards we visited the Konyr Aulie cave - a sacred cave at the southwestern foot of Mount Akkaragai, on the western slope of Mount Bayanaul in the Abay region. Locals also call him "Aulietas" or "Black Saint".

Then we visited the monument of the legendary Kazakh batyr, who fought against the Dzungars Zhasybay Batyr, the main attraction of the reserve Bayanaul Kempirtas or stone Baba-Yaga, mausoleum and museum of Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov, spring.

The head of the "Tourism" department Lyailya Mutaliyeva, senior lecturers Aibek Marat and Botagoz Akhtaeva, senior lecturer of the "Environmental Management and Engineering" department Saule Zhumabaeva and members of the "Yntymak" corporation took part in the organized tourist route with 8 cars.

Bayanaul district is the birthplace of scientists, writers, poets and public figures. Their names are known not only in the Pavlodar region. Here is the collector of history and folklore of the Kazakh people, the poet Mashkhur Zhusup Kopeev, the famous poet Bukar-Zhyrau, composer and poet Zh.M. Baizhanov, historian and teacher M.Zh. Kopeev, poet Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov, poet and philosopher Zhayau Musa.

A special place among scientists of Kazakhstan belongs to Kanysh Imantauly Satbayev - geologist, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, laureate of the Lenin and State prizes of the USSR.

Academicians Sh. Shokin, A. Margulan, doctors of sciences A. Bekturov, E. Bekmakhanov, S. Beisembayev made a great contribution to the development of Soviet science. Poets and writers inspired by Bayanaul land: D. Abilev, K. Bekkozhin, Z. Shashkin, K. Isabaev, film director and actor - People's Artist of the USSR Sh. Aimanov and others gained great fame.

Last year the 165th anniversary of Mashkur Zhusip Kopeyev and 130th anniversary of Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov were celebrated in the region.
