ENU chemistry students studied medicinal plants in the forests of Koyanda

Students of the educational program OP 6B05306 - “Chemistry of Organic Substances and Polymers” of the Department of Chemistry, under the supervision of Associate Professor M. Duisembiev, completed practical training at the «Zolotoy Fazan»  recreation center, located in the village of Koyandy, Akmola region.

During the field practice, the students got acquainted with medicinal plants growing in the forest located in the village of Koyandy with an area of 200 square meters. The students also conducted various experiments to determine the chemical composition of the medicinal plant, collecting its numerous species. During the practice, students conducted studies of the chemical composition of the water of the settlement using a pH meter device.

The students are grateful to the Rector of the L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University, as well as to the administrative departments for creating opportunities for students.

Also, an internship was held at the recreation center «Zolotoy Fazan» in the village of Koyandy in the Tselinograd district of the Akmola region. students of the 2nd year of the educational program “6B05210-Hydrology".

The educational practice in hydrometry is not only a stage that summarizes the sum of all the knowledge accumulated during the two courses, but also a crucial moment in the formation of students as specialists of high-quality secondary qualifications who are able to independently perform hydrological work.

The «Zolotoy Fazan» complex has all the conditions for conducting educational practice. The «Zolotoy Fazan» complex provided sleeping places for students, meals and other necessary conditions for students and practice.
