Students of the Department of Tourism studied the tactics of active types of tourism in practice

Here, the annual active practice in nature, which is eagerly awaited by the students, has begun. 75 students of  Tourism Department of the Faculty of Economics together with their supervisors R.E.Agybetova, V.T.Balgabaeva, M.K.Abenov, A.T.Marat, A.G.Gizzatzhanova from May 26 to June 1, 2024 in Akmola came to the children's camp "Young Age" in the village of Sandyktau region and began to practice the theoretical knowledge acquired in the subjects "Fundamentals of Tourism", "Techniques and Tactics of Active Types of Tourism".

 In the 2023-2024 academic year, in accordance with the "Tourism" educational program of the "Tourism" department, educational and cognitive practice for 1st year students is planned for 3 weeks. Among them, 2 weeks are planned on the basis of the "Tourism" department of the Faculty of Economics in Astana, and 1 week is planned in Sandyktau rural settlement of Akmola region, which is 352 km from Astana. The students were placed in the children's camp "Zhas Dauren" in the village of Sandyktau, the practice in the region rich in forests, rivers, natural monuments, fresh air and various tourist routes, which are necessary for active forms of tourism, allowed the students to combine theory with practice.

Students will learn theoretical concepts such as orientation in the local area, determination of tourist opportunities of the region, mapping of tourist routes on the map, necessary equipment for the routes, measurement and storage of food on the routes, transportation and use, rules of safety equipment, providing first aid, protecting nature for the purpose of ecological tourism along with mastering the information,  overcome various practical exercises.

The students were divided into teams and challenged each other on the active tourism techniques, and the days started with morning training and continued with tourist competitions. Students will learn the techniques and tactics of crossing natural obstacles in a practical way, in natural conditions, mountain and water tourism, cliff climbing, crossing difficult parts of water, crossing overpasses, finding the injured by local orientation, first aid, poisoning and fire assistance. display etc. They also learn about types of fire, construction and assembly of a tourist tent, packing and transportation of a backpack.

From the first day, the students were very active, performed the tasks given by the supervisors with great interest, continued with theoretical and practical lessons throughout the day, evening animation evenings, and paid attention to making each day of practice memorable. Many thanks can be expressed to the administration and staff of the children's camp "Zhas Dauren" in Sandyktau village, who helped to make the practice meaningful and high-quality.

It can be said that active tourism organized in the natural environment will help the students of the 1st year of the "Tourism" educational program to master their professions, and it can be said that the students will learn important knowledge and necessary practice in such training practice.
