ENU founded the Abai Center for Kazakh Language and Culture in Kazan

The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University has opened the Abai Center for Kazakh Language and Culture on the basis of Kazan Federal University as part of an agreement between the two universities.
The Center’s activities are aimed at the implementation of joint education programs, the popularization of the Kazakh language and culture, as well as the exchange of experience in training specialists.
As part of the agreement, the universities intend to implement two-degree education programs in linguistics and teacher training.
In order to popularize the Kazakh culture, the center plans to conduct Kazakh language courses and develop projects on linguistic topics.
It is worth noting that ENU and KFU have been cooperating since 2013. During this time, universities have developed joint master’s degree programs in the field of law, exchange students and teachers for training, lecturing and conducting scientific research.
One of the successful projects of long-term cooperation is the functioning of the scientific and educational center of the Kayumi Nasyri Institute in 2014 on the basis of ENU Faculty of Philology, where free Tatar language courses are given.
