Field practice of biology students in botany
Under the guidance of candidate of biological sciences, acting associate professor of the Department of General Biology and Genomics A. D. Dukenbaeva and PhD, associate professor A. D. Spanbaev, within the framework of educational and field practice in the subject “Botany” took part in the educational and field practice of students of educational program Biology 5 groups BG-11, BG - 12, BG-13, BG-15, BG-17. Practice was held on the basis of the recreation area “Golden Pheasant” Akmola region, the village of Koyandy. In the course of educational and field practice students of the 1st year expanded and deepened in theoretical and practical knowledge obtained during lectures and laboratory classes in the areas of anatomy and morphology of plants, plant systematics in the course of “Botany”.
The students directly in natural conditions studied species, families and phytocenoses of plants, their adaptation to environmental conditions, and depending on the properties of organisms, determined the main forms and seasonal changes of plants, features of their reproduction and distribution. Detailed study of the flora of the region was made possible thanks to more than 100 types of herbarium plants.
The groups participating in the training field practice were not limited to studying plants, but actively participated in fun evenings, sports games and other activities. Various competitions were organized. Every time they spent interestingly, and with benefit. As a result of field practice students learned to identify the flora of the area of the village of Koyandy. They learned how to communicate and work in groups, collect data and conduct research in a natural environment. Hopefully all of this will further their professional development and contribute to botany.
