The representative of ENU took part in the International Conference «Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028»

In Dushanbe on June 10, 2024, Acting Professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences Akbayeva Layla of the Faculty of Natural Sciences took part in the Forum of Science and Technology in the framework of the Third International High-Level Conference on the International Decade of Action “Water for Sustainable Development” 2018-2028.

The Forum was organized by the USAID Regional Water and Environment Project in cooperation with the International Water Management Institute, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan. This forum is organized for representatives of leading international, regional and national research institutions to strengthen relations and exchange scientific information to create more favorable conditions for inter-institutional and interdisciplinary research in the future.

The Forum was a follow-up to the second regional conference among research institutions organized by the USAID Regional Water and Environment Project in June 2023. The Forum aims to bring together academics, researchers, and scientists from around the world to share information, best practices, and research results to address water-related challenges in Central Asia.
