
Maxim Zdorovets is elected Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of RK



Maxim Zdorovets, Head of the Engineering Profile Laboratory of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Director of the Astana branch of the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Ministry of Energy of RK, was elected an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The National Academy of Sciences of RK under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the results of the competition for the election of academicians of the Academy.
By the decision of the General Meeting of the Academy, of the academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of RK under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for sciences “On Earth, Space and Communications” (in the areas of “Natural Sciences”, “Engineering and Technology”), Maxim Zdorovets, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Nuclear Physics, New Materials and Technologies Department, Head of the Engineering Profile Laboratory of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Director of the Astana branch of the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Ministry of Energy of RK, was elected Academician of NAS of RK.
Maxim Zdorovets is a co-author of more than 300 scientific articles, h – index = 35, co-author of more than 20 patents. In his subject area, he is included in the 1% of the authors of the most cited works in the world. He has been and is the head of several scientific and applied projects and programs funded by the Republic of Kazakhstan, the IAEA and ISTC.
For reference: Maxim Vladimirovich Zdorovets graduated from the M.Kozybayev North Kazakhstan State University in 2005, and in 2008 he completed full-time postgraduate studies at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. In 2017, he graduated from the Master’s studies with honors in Nuclear Power Engineering and Thermophysics with a major in “Safe Handling of Nuclear Materials” at the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI”.
In 2010, he successfully defended his first PhD thesis performed at the DC-60 accelerator – a dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in the specialty “01.04.07 - Condensed Matter Physics”.
He started his career in 2007 at the Space Monitoring Center of the National Center for Space Research and Technology as a leading expert.
Between 2009 and 2013, he worked as a junior researcher, head of the Astana branch of the DGP “Nuclear Physics Institute” of the National Nuclear Center of RK.
Since 2013, he has been Director of the Astana branch of the RSE “Nuclear Physics Institute” of the Ministry of Energy of RK.
In 2011, he was appointed head of the Engineering Profile Laboratory of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU.
