Since 2018, the Transport and Energy Faculty's educational programs have been implemented under the double degree program. Alumni from the "Organization of Transport, Traffic, and Transport Operations" department, such as Alimzhan Asiltaev, Serdolla Sagidolla, and Bakzhan Kobey, as well as from the "Transport, Transport Engineering, and Technologies" department, Erbolat Mamyrkhan, have received master's degrees in technical sciences in logistics and supply chain management at Riga Technical University and L. During their studies, ENU master’s students undertook research internships at Latvian enterprises. Alimzhan Asiltaev interned at the logistics company SONORA JSC and, upon completion, was hired in Latvia (Riga). He currently serves as the head of the company's representative office in Kazakhstan and employs our graduates from the "Logistics" program. Graduates Serdolla Sagidolla and Bakzhan Kobey have achieved similar successes.
In the 2019–2020 academic year, Erbolat Mamyrkhan, a master's student in the "Transport, Transport Engineering, and Technologies" program, received a double diploma from ENU and RTU. He completed a research internship at the Riga seaport (a paid internship), with partial accommodation costs covered by the port's administration. Later, when seeking employment after graduation, he secured a job in Shymkent despite high competition, thanks to his double diploma and high level of English proficiency.
Additionally, Riga Technical University is a leader among technical universities in the Baltic states. According to the U-Multirank ranking, RTU ranks first among universities in Latvia, with the highest employability rating for its graduates. Founded over 150 years ago, RTU is now a modern higher education institution that welcomes international students into its undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, with instruction in English.
The Eurasian National University actively collaborates with RTU colleagues in the fields of science and education. Currently, the cooperation between the Transport and Energy Faculty (coordinator for international cooperation Zura Sanyzbayeva), the Institute of Information Technology of Riga Technical University (head of the department, Professor Andrejs Romanovs), and the RTU International Cooperation Department (Natalya Muracova) will significantly contribute to the development of ENU's international cooperation with RTU in academic mobility, attracting professors, and conducting research internships for doctoral and master’s students in the future.
