
The Green energy Management Summer School has completed its work

The next Summer School Green energy management - Silkway Central Asia Edition on the topic Green energy and sustainability development within the framework of the international consortium "SILKWAY" has completed its work.
This year, the summer school was held from June 24 to 28 in Kyrgyzstan in cooperation with Osh State University on the shore of the picturesque Lake Issykkul. Traditional partners are the University of Milano Bicocca and Eni. The summer school also received support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
About 20 participants from universities in Italy, Finland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took part in the training. The summer school program covered the most current topics in the field of renewable energy development, green economy and other sustainable development topics. Lectures by scientists from Italy, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan were focused on the following topics: green economy management, energy finance, new trends in the green economy, energy geopolitics, transition to decarbonization, artificial intelligence in green energy management.
As a result of the summer school, participants prepared their projects on topics such as decentralization of the city, the history of the origins of green energy and the role of humanity in its further development, creating a sustainable future through gamification, solar sovereignty, geopolitics of solar energy and common rights. Based on these projects, additional research will be conducted, the results of which are planned to be published in the journal “Renewable and sustainable energy”.
In addition, a number of events were held aimed at building team spirit and getting to know the local culture, such as an ethno-folklore evening, visiting local attractions, getting to know national cuisine, sporting events, an environmental cleanup, and field research. It is worth special mentioning the action of planting 30 trees by participants and lecturers of the summer school together with the local population on the territory of the Osh State University base.
At the closing ceremony of the event, participants were awarded certificates of participation in the Summer School. Also, a competition was held for the best logo for the summer school, which will become a symbol for future events under the auspices of Green energy management - Silkway Central Asia Edition. All participants were invited to the next summer school, which will also be held in the Central Asia region to continue discussions of the most current topics among scientists and researchers.
Let us remind you that, realizing the importance of the task of preserving and protecting the planet, ENU contributes to the formation and dissemination of knowledge on green energy through the implementation of educational programs, scientific research and the implementation of projects such as “Green Economy”, “TREASUREWATER”. Also, since 2022, the Polish-Kazakh Research Center “Green Economy” has been operating at ENU.
ENU takes part in annual rankings on sustainable development, such as the Times Higher Education Impact ranking, QS ranking on Sustainability.
Taking into account the relevance of the topic, this summer school became an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the development of green energy, discuss prospects and identify necessary measures for sustainable development in the context of the Eurasian region.
