ENU has implemented the function of signing documents via QR
ENU has developed a new technological solution based on its own platform. The university teachers and students are given the opportunity to sign documents via a QR code using an electronic digital signature. In order to develop the digital ecosystem, ENU specialists are working on developing their own document management system.
ENU IT specialists integrated the university’s smart.menu information system with the Egov Mobile application. Now, on the smart.enu platform, the university teachers, students and staff can sign around ten types of documents by scanning a QR code.
“ENU implemented QR code recognition in its own system during the pandemic period for contactless entry of students and staff into the buildings. We have been practicing signing documents with EDS since 2021. We are actively developing our own ecosystem and simplifying processes. Immediately after the announcement of the availability of signing documents via QR code, we submitted an application to the relevant ministry. Our smart.entry system has successfully passed compliance and security checks. Therefore, we have received permission to implement a QR signature. Now we have introduced a more convenient method of signing documents for our students and employees in the smart.enu system. To do this, you need to download the latest version of the eGov mobile application to your mobile phone. Digital opportunities not only save time and budget spent on printing documents, but also benefit our environment,” Gulmira Bekmanova, Director of the Digital Development and Distance Learning Department of the L.N.Gumilyov ENU shared.
Automation has made it possible to simplify and speed up production processes. During 5 months of the current year, 3,100 contracts and 5,000 silabuses were signed through the smart.enu system.
Over the past 2 years, ENU IT specialists have created 15 products. At the moment, our own document management system is being developed. All technological solutions are aimed at digitalization of the scientific and educational process, automation of business processes and development of digital competencies of employees and teachers.
