The next meeting of the admissions committee
On July 26 of this year, a regular meeting of the admissions committee was held under the chairmanship of Ardak Bakytovich Beisenbai, a member of the Board – Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of L.N. Gumilev ENU.
In accordance with the admissions committee's plan for 2024, the issues on the agenda were considered.
On the first issue, the executive secretary of the admissions committee, Egeubayeva Lazzat Bakytovna, informed about the results of accepting applications from applicants for the competition for awarding educational grants, as well as that applications for participation in the competition were submitted through the admissions committees of higher and postgraduate education organizations, as well as online through the e-government portal.
«In general, the admission committee of the Eurasian National University processed and sent 3,419 applications for the competition. Of these, 2,905 applications were received through the admissions committee, 514 applications through the e-government portal and processed through the Unified Portal of Higher Education (UPHE).
An additional schedule of creative exams was drawn up for applicants from flood-affected regions, and applicants were able to submit the maximum result of the January, March or main UNT to the grant competition.
Also, for the convenience of applicants from remote regions, the virtual admission committee of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University worked. The technical secretaries of the military-industrial complex consulted via video link and accepted documents for the educational grant competition," said the executive secretary of the admissions committee.
The next issue on the agenda is the results of creative exams for groups of bachelor's and master's degree programs:
The number of applications received for the creative exam in six groups of bachelor's degree programs is 1108. The applicants who took part in both exams were 1,093, of which 802 applicants successfully passed the exams and scored threshold points.
The number of applications received for creative exams in two groups of master's degree programs is 33. The number of applicants who took part in both exams and scored threshold points is 31.
The issues of approving the composition of the commission for conducting interviews with foreign citizens on a paid basis for groups of educational programs of higher and postgraduate education, approving the composition of the commission for interviews with citizens who have completed military service, as well as approving the composition of the commission for conducting interviews with applicants for a master's degree in a specialized direction were also considered.
All issues on the agenda have been accepted for execution and approved by decisions.
