THE 10TH DAY TOUR ROUTE TO THE ABAI REGION AND KATON-KARAGAI DISTRICT WAS ORGANIZED

The research group of the Department of Tourism conducted a study of the tourist potential of the Abai region and the Katon-Karagai district as objects of historical, cultural, educational and therapeutic tourism. As a result, a 10-day tourist route was developed and proposed.

 After leaving Аstana, the participants of the tour route got acquainted with the infrastructure of the cities of Pavlodar and Semey along the way.

Then we visited:

- Konyr Aulie, located on the right bank of the Shagan River in the Abai district, 18 kilometers southeast of the village of Toktamis Batyr. The Konyr Aulie cave was included in the "Map of the Holy Places of Kazakhstan". There is a small lake in the cave, which gives healing to those who come. The nature of this place and the spiritual atmosphere are wonderful, and there is an endless expanse around.

- Zhidebai is the native place of Abai, which is considered the middle of the continent of Eurasia. It is known that people visiting the mausoleum of Abai in Zhidebai first visit the cemetery of the poet's mothers – Zere and Ulzhan.

- The main museum of the state historical, cultural and literary memorial reserve-museum of Abai "Zhidebai-Borili", dedicated to the great Kazakh poet, teacher, educator, philosopher, founder of Kazakh literature Abai Kunanbayev. The reserve is located in the Abai region, next to the Karaul River. On the territory of the reserve there are memorial and literary museum-house of Abai, cemeteries of Abai, Zere, Ulzhan, Ospan, Shakarim, Akhat, Kudaiberdi, Mullah Gabitkhan, Shauken bay, Yerkezhan and other historical and cultural monuments. The memorial complex "Abai Shakarim", built for the 150th anniversary of Abai.

On the way to Zhidebai, the monument "Enlik-Kebek", which is one of the sacred places of Kazakhstan, was visited on the territory of the Abai region near the highway.

The tour route was continued to the largest national park in Kazakhstan - Katon-Karagai State National Park. Its area exceeds half a million hectares. Katon-Karagai is located in the most picturesque area of the Southern Altai and, being in Kazakhstan, borders on one side with Russia and on the other with China. The picturesque views and majestic peace of the pristine nature allowed us to find complete harmony with ourselves and the world.

The participants of the tour route visited the Upper Katun pantotherapy clinic for 5 days, located in Aksharbak village of Katon-Karagai district of East Kazakhstan region. The base is located in the heart of the Altai mountain ranges, in the untouched edge of Eastern Kazakhstan. Healing herbs, fresh mountain air and spring mineral water make Verkhny Katun the best place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. The pride of the base is the oldest maral farm. This gave our guests the opportunity not only to restore their mental balance, but also to improve their health.

 On the eighth day, the guests saw the Kazakh version of Iceland or Switzerland - "Rakhmany", that is, the place from which everyone's heart begins to pound more often. The Rakhmanov springs are springs that flow into the Rakhmanov Lake. The highest mountain mosque of the country, Al Quddusu, is located here (1760 meters above sea level) and it is here that the first azan in Kazakhstan sounds. Being here, you can find yourself at the junction of as many as four states: Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia and China.

The guests managed to look at Mount Belukha or Muztau, in our opinion, the highest peak of Altai (the highest point is 4506 meters above sea level). Its slopes are covered with eternal glaciers from which the Belaya Berel and Katun rivers feed. Muztau is located in the Katon Karagai Nature Reserve on the border of Russia and Kazakhstan,

 The tour route organized by cars was attended by the head of the Department of Tourism, Professor Layla Mutalieva, senior lecturer of the Department of Environmental Management and Engineering at ENU Saule Zhumabayeva, General Director of the Mumtaz restaurant chain Botagoz Akhtayeva, as well as 14 members of the Yntymak Corporation.
