
The Institute of Continuing Education of the ENU held advanced training courses for Border guards

The Institute of Continuing Education of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University has successfully completed a cycle of advanced training courses for employees of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The training took place within the framework of an agreement that has been going on for several years, which indicates fruitful cooperation between the university and the Border Guard Service.
The main purpose of the courses was to increase the psychological stability and effectiveness of Border Service staff. The training program covered key aspects, including the provision of knowledge and skills for psychological support in stress and crisis situations, as well as training in methods for diagnosing the psychological characteristics of colleagues to improve their emotional state and productivity.
The classes were conducted by highly qualified teachers with extensive practical experience in the field of psychology and psychiatry: Asiya Yerkimbayeva, psychiatrist, specialist in medical psychology and narcology, Lyudmila Gitikhmayeva, senior lecturer at the Department of Psychology at ENU, specialist in art therapy and Almat Nuradinov, Candidate of Psychological Sciences. The courses covered topical topics such as "Psychological counseling of employees in post-stress situations", "Diagnosis and correction of psychological characteristics using art therapy", "Prevention and diagnosis of suicidal behavior", and "Prevention of dependent behavior (alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, religious cults, etc.)".
The course program included not only the theoretical part, but also practical classes, art therapy sessions and psychological relief. Upon completion of the training, all participants received certificates confirming successful completion of the course and mastery of the necessary knowledge and skills.
The Border Guard Service expressed gratitude to the Institute of Continuing Education of the Eurasian National University for the high organization and quality of the courses, noting the importance and relevance of the knowledge gained for further professional activities.
