
Problems of conservation of biological diversity in Kazakhstan

On September 18, 2024, a scientific seminar was held at the Department of Physical and Economic Geography. A report on the topic "Problems of preserving the biological diversity of Kazakhstan" was made by a senior lecturer of the department, Candidate of Biological Sciences J.M. Karagoishin. The following issues were considered during the seminar:
1. About animals and birds of Kazakhstan, their distribution, their role in human life and the national economy, environmental groups;
2. The current state of rare and endangered animals and birds of Kazakhstan, factors affecting them;
3. Animals listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan, their current state and distribution, number.
4. Hunting animals and birds of Kazakhstan, their biological and ecological features and distribution, recent state. More than 60 students, undergraduates and young scientists and specialists took part in the seminar.
It was noted that through the development of hunting in Kazakhstan, it is necessary to show the world our country, our hunting art, and therefore, at present, through hunting, we must make a small contribution to the development of our country's economy. At the seminar, many questions were asked about animals, and they also talked about modern distribution.
