Areas of cooperation between ENU and Cardiff University are discussed
A delegation from Cardiff University, one of the leading research universities in the UK, visited the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The guests were welcomed by ENU Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization Duman Aitmagambetov and the university staff.
During the meeting, the parties discussed areas of cooperation between the universities. Also, a tour of the ENU Museum of the History of Turkic Writing was conducted for the UK guests.
"The discussion of bilateral cooperation is important for our university, since ENU is a research university. We can find common ground in many scientific fields. I am sure that we will focus our efforts on mutually beneficial partnership," Duman Aitmagambetov said.
In turn, Rudolf Konrad Allemann, Pro Vice-Chancellor, International at Cardiff University, expressed his opinion on cooperation.
"Cardiff University is located in Cardiff, the capital of Wales, and is part of the prestigious Russell Group, which unites 24 leading research universities of the UK. The university has more than 33,000 students, including about 7,900 international students from more than 130 countries. We have a lot of expectations from bilateral cooperation with the Eurasian National University. I am sure that we will work together on scientific and educational areas," the guest noted.
It is worth noting that the cooperation agreement between the Cardiff University School of Mathematics and the ENU Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology was signed in 2006.
