"ENU marathon" was held in honor of the 112th anniversary of the birth of Lev Gumilyov and the Day of Higher Education Workers

In honor of the 112th anniversary of the birth of Lev Gumilev and the Day of Higher Education Employees of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the traditional "ENU marathon" was held on the square of the main building of our university. More than 250 people took part in the 10-kilometer run along the Akbulak River.

Students and teachers participated in the marathon, students covered 10 km, and teachers covered 6 km.

Mergaliev Meirkhan, who ran 6 kilometers in 27 minutes and 42 seconds among teachers and employees, became the winner. The second place was taken by Salikzhanov Ramazan Sattaruly, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Assistant Professor of the Department of Sociology, Doctor PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics Salikzhanova Shynar crossed the finish line.

Among the students, Mukanov Tokhtar, a 2nd-year student of the Scientific Institute of Physics and Technology, ran 10 kilometers in 34 minutes and 53 seconds and became the winner. Erkhen Badelkhan, a 3rd-year student of the Higher School of Education, took the second place, Ualikhanov Aibek, a 1st-year student of the Faculty of Transport and Energy, took the third place.

In addition, the ombudsman of our university, Nelya Lukpanovy, supported the running of the marathon. The participants were given special exercises before the run. Students and teachers who successfully completed the marathon enjoyed the meal.
