11 October 2024, the Arab Language Enthusiasts Club of the Oriental Studies Department, at the Faculty of International Relations, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, held an official event to welcome first-year students.
During the event, students from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years showcased their talents by singing Arabic songs, reciting proverbs, playing dombra, and dubbing cartoons, demonstrating their creative skills. The Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, M.M. Kosybaev, and the Head of the Oriental Studies Department, G.U. Birimkulova, congratulated the first-year students and wished them success. Additionally, faculty members, including PhD in Philology, Professor Samal Abaevna Tuleubayeva, PhD in Philology, Professor Akzhigit Alibekuly, PhD in Historical Sciences, Professor Zibagul Suleimenovna Ilyasova, and PhD in Philology, Gulnara Kanatkyzy Kurmangali, extended their congratulations to the students.
Students from the “Two Foreign Languages,” “International Relations,” and “Regional Studies” programs actively participated in the event. First-year students were asked questions about the Arab world, and commemorative gifts were presented to them.
