Vice-Rector of the National University of Science and Technology Osman Hasan visited EN

An important meeting was held at the level of university management, during which prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of education and scientific activities were discussed. The negotiations resulted in a decision to sign a memorandum of understanding, which will become the basis for further cooperation between the universities.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, ENU Rector Erlan Sydykov outlined that one of the key aspects of the memorandum is the organization of an annual student exchange within the framework of academic mobility programs. This will allow students to receive not only high-quality education in different educational environments, but also cultural experience, which contributes to the comprehensive development of the individual, strengthening international ties and integration into the global educational space.
It was also decided to develop a dual-degree education program. This means that students who complete the program will be able to receive diplomas from both universities, which significantly expands their career prospects and makes them competitive in the international labor market. The dual degree programme is particularly attractive to students seeking a broader and more comprehensive education and those who plan to work in an international environment.
In addition, an annual exchange of faculty, postgraduate and master’s students has been agreed upon. This exchange will enable researchers and teachers to share their knowledge, teaching methods and research achievements. The interaction at the faculty level facilitates the development of new joint research projects, the exchange of advanced technologies and knowledge, and the strengthening of academic ties between the universities.
It is worth noting that NUST was the first university in Pakistan to receive ISO 9000 certification. The colleges that have received ISO quality management system certification include the College of Aeronautical Engineering, the Defence College of Engineering (Pakistan), the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, the Pakistan Navy Engineering College and the Defence College of Signals.
According to a survey, NUST is the most popular university among engineering students in Pakistan.
