Saken's World

In the reading room № 12 of the academic library there was a literary excursion devoted to the 130th anniversary of the famous Kazakh writer, poet and statesman Saken Seifullin «Sakennin syrshyl alemi».

The event was attended by students from the faculties of philology, journalism and social sciences.

Professor of Kazakh Literature Department Rakhymzhan Turysbek told about life and creativity of the poet.

Students read excerpts from the author's works such as «Nura» by E. Sansyzbai, from the poem «Kokshetau» by M. Uzakbayev, «Mereke maidanynda» by N. Zhapar.  

The participants noted Saken Seifullin's contribution to Kazakh literature, culture and history, and emphasised the importance of his legacy for the modern generation.

Master student A.Bekmukhanbetov read his poem «Sakenge arnau».  

Students of the Faculty of Philology concluded the meeting by singing the song «Tau ishinde».
