
Visiting Professor of Psychology from the University of Trento (Italy) lectures at ENU

Honorary Professor Remo Job is delivering a course titled "Methods of Teaching Psychology in Higher Education" to second-year master's students enrolled in the "Psychology" program from October 14 to November 12, 2024, at the Department of Psychology at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, with the support of the International Cooperation Department and the university's academic mobility program.
Remo Job is the elected President of the International Council of Psychology Educators in Italy and an Honorary Professor at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Trento, Italy, which ranks in the top 500 of the QS World University Rankings. The psychology program at this university is ranked in the top 200 globally. Professor Job has authored over 150 publications in high-impact international psychology journals, written 9 books, and contributed 45 book chapters. His h-index in the Scopus database is 33, reflecting the high impact and significance of his scholarly work.
As part of the course that Professor Remo Job will be teaching over the course of a month, master's students will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in psychology and teaching methodology, while expanding their forward-looking perspectives on science and its broader possibilities. His course goes beyond the standard curriculum, as the professor generously shares knowledge from related fields, encouraging students to pursue further scientific research.
In addition to delivering lectures for the course, Professor Job has been appointed as a scientific advisor for doctoral students in the "Psychology" program. He also conducts workshops for the faculty of the Department of Psychology on writing articles for high-impact journals. As part of his visit, on October 24, 2024, an international roundtable titled "Eurasian School of Personality Research: Pathways and Prospects for Development" will be held, dedicated to Republic Day.
The professor's visit lays the foundation for long-term collaboration between the universities and establishes a platform for the further expansion of the boundaries of Kazakhstani psychological science.
