
Professor Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary gave a lecture to ENU students

Professor, Doctor of Sciences, member of the World Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Sciences of Pakistan, Nobel Laureate of the Muslim World, Chief Coordinator of the Standing Committee on Science and Technology of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary gave a lecture to ENU students and faculty on the topic "Discovery of Natural MEDICINES for Neglected and Neurodegenerative diseases".
ENU Rector Yerlan Sydykov thanked the professor from Pakistan for giving the lecture and awarded him the title of “Honorary Professor of the University”.
"If our students are engaged in scientific projects together with foreign students, if they go to study in other countries under a double degree program, if such famous scientists of the world come to us and give lectures, it is very pleasing and inspiring, because listening to lectures from outstanding professors is a great achievement. I am glad that you came to us and shared your unique knowledge. We will be waiting for you at our educational institution in the future," ENU Rector Yerlan Sydykov said.
Professor Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary is a well-known scientist in the field of organic chemistry and chemistry of natural compounds, Director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences of the University of Karachi (Pakistan).
"Every time I come to Kazakhstan, I am amazed at how productive and far-sighted the young people here are. In addition, I am very pleased with their desire for knowledge. I hope today's lecture was useful for you," the professor said.
It should be noted that in July 2023, Professor Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary visited ENU on a business visit and met with Rector Yerlan Sydykov. During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
Today, the professor is one of the most cited scientists internationally. Over the past 5 years, he has more than 3,000 citations, and the total impact factor of his articles exceeds 825.
