From October 14 to November 8, 2024, on the basis of the Institute of Continuing Education of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, an Introduction to Networks (CCNA) training course was held for students of the Faculty of Information Technology and university staff, organized in cooperation with the Cisco Network Academy — KAI IT Academy, which allowed students and listeners effectively combine the learning process and flexible study schedule with other academic activities and work. The course was conducted by a Cisco certified international instructor, Nurzhaubaev Akniet.
This course is the first module in a series of CCNA certification programs aimed at developing students' fundamental knowledge and skills in the field of network technologies. The course program included theoretical study and practical work, which contributed to a comprehensive understanding of the basics of building and maintaining network systems. The course covered key topics, including building basic network topologies, principles of routing and switching, IP addressing, configuration and diagnostics of Cisco network equipment.
As part of the course, the students studied: Fundamentals of network technologies and principles of IP addressing, which form a basic understanding of the functioning of networks. The principles of routing and switching, which is the basis for building efficient networks.
Configuring and managing Cisco network devices, including basic configuration and operation diagnostics. Configuration and diagnostics of local networks, which allowed students to acquire practical skills applicable in real professional activities. Modern teaching methods were used in the learning process, including interactive classes, discussions and practical tasks, which allowed students to consolidate their knowledge and learn how to apply it in practice.
