
The first practical course of ENU on the world platform Coursera
The ENU Online Learning Department presents the first practical mass open online course (MOOC) hosted on the Coursera international platform. The course «Folklore: genre and image», developed by the head of the Department of Kazakh Literature at ENU, PhD Gulnaz Sagynadin, presents folklore studies as an integrative science, offering its innovative concepts and focusing on the in-depth scientific study of the genres of non-fabulous prose.
"The course makes it easy and exciting to explore the world of folklore in a new direction with a wide range of skills. Modern, optimal and effective innovative methods for practical understanding of scientific and theoretical material are proposed here. The program also includes online books and electronic publications of recent years. I also focused on developing creative skills, initiative, the ability to organize my time and use literature of various directions. In this context, a special "creative time" has been developed," Gulnaz Sagynadin notes.
According to the author, despite the practical orientation, every aspect of the course is supported by a thorough theoretical justification, and the lecture materials are presented in full.
The main goal of the course is to develop not only logical and creative thinking, but also the skills of critically objective self–assessment and evaluation of the learning process.
Gulnaz Sagynadin thanks the Online Learning Department for its significant contribution to the creation and launch of this MOOC, providing the necessary methodological and technical support and support at all stages of project development and implementation. Thanks to the professionalism of the Department's specialists, the course was successfully hosted on the Coursera platform.
