Sports journalism professionals shared their experience with students of ENU’s Faculty of Law

The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University  hosted a two-day workshop for students of the Television and Public Relations Department majoring in "Sports Journalism" with the participation of Kazakhstani experts and well-known sports journalists was held at in the workshop format.   The seminar was opened by the head of the department Dana Baigozhina and moderated by Zhiger Azbergenov.

Thus, the host of the BorodAbata project, Yerbol Kairov, shared with young colleagues how to become a sports journalist, run a sports blog and achieve success in this field.

The editor-in-chief of the sports portal 1bol.kz Sergali Balazan spoke about trends in sports journalism, the work of the website and the podcast.

How to please a fan, create an on-air program of a sports TV channel and purchase the rights to sports events? The students heard the answers to these topical questions from the mouth of Naga Bakytbekov, director of the Qazsport TV channel.

No less interesting was the topic "Stereotypes in Sports Journalism: in the World of the Male Voice, the Path of a Female Commentator", which was presented by the next speaker, figure skating commentator Liliana Alzhanova.

The commentator of "Qazsport" Yersin Yerik and the representative of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, commentator Zhiger Azbergenov, told about the experience of using commentator terminology in Kazakh in sports live broadcasts.

The press secretary of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation Nazerke Sultanbek informed about the work of the media team of the sports organization, the tools for image formation.

Also on the topics: "Content: audience attraction techniques" were performed by Muratbek Bimanov, sports journalist of the National Football Team (Kazakhstan Football Federation), "Features of the work of a sports journalist at competitions" - head of the YouTube channel Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan Aslan Kazenov, "Subtleties of sports photojournalism" - famous sports photojournalist Turar Kazangapov (Tengrinews.kz ).

Following the results of the seminar, the participants were awarded certificates from the National Olympic Committee.
