ENU Institute of continuous education launches Kazakh language courses for foreign citizens

Starting from November 13, 2024, the Institute of Continuous Education of the Eurasian National University (ENU) will launch Kazakh language courses for foreign citizens. The program "Kazakh as a Foreign Language", which will last until June 27, 2025, is aimed at teaching basic skills in the state language of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The courses, conducted according to the original methodology of Professor Raushan Imanzhusip, have already attracted the attention of students from various parts of the world. At the moment, citizens of more than 10 countries have completed and continue to undergo language training, including the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Saudi Arabia, the USA, China, Nigeria and many others.
The training program includes not only mastering the Kazakh language, but also familiarization with the history and culture of Kazakhstan, which helps students better understand the country's features and its traditions. Particular attention is paid to the development of independent search and research skills that will be useful for solving real-life problems that arise during communication in the Kazakh language.
This course is also becoming an important stage for foreign citizens who are about to apply for or restore Kazakhstani citizenship. Since August 12, 2024, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is mandatory to provide a certificate confirming knowledge of the Kazakh language at an elementary level, as well as the basics of the Constitution and history of Kazakhstan.
The course program includes intensive classes in pronunciation and grammar, the use of teaching aids and materials, as well as discussions of current social and cultural topics.
